About IMS Rehab
Dedicated to healing lives through compassionate, evidence-based care
Our Story
IMS Rehab exists because of a promise made at a graveside. In 2020, our founder buried a brother who lost his battle with opioid addiction. The treatment options available at the time felt distant, impersonal, and disconnected from the community that should have been there to help. That grief became resolve: Los Angeles deserved a recovery center that understood its people, its culture, and its neighborhoods.
Within a year, IMS Rehab opened its doors on Wilcox Avenue in Hollywood. The vision was simple but unwavering: build a place where people struggling with addiction would be treated as neighbors, not case numbers. A place where the staff would know your name, your story, and your goals. A place where families could find support alongside their loved ones.
Six years later, that promise has been kept more than 3,000 times over. Every patient who walks through our doors is a reminder of why we started, and every successful recovery proves that community-rooted care is the strongest foundation for lasting change.
Our Mission
At IMS Rehab, our mission is to restore dignity to every person affected by addiction. We believe that substance use disorders do not diminish a person's worth, and our treatment reflects that conviction at every level. From the way we greet you at intake to the way we celebrate your milestones, dignity comes first. Our 36-bed facility and team of 65 professionals are organized around one principle: you deserve to heal in an environment that respects who you are and who you are becoming.
Treatment Philosophy
Our treatment philosophy rests on three pillars that shape every aspect of care at IMS Rehab:
Community Reintegration: Recovery does not happen in isolation. We actively prepare our patients to reconnect with their families, workplaces, and neighborhoods. Group therapy sessions, family counseling, and alumni meetups in Los Angeles keep our patients anchored to the community that supports their sobriety.
Trauma-Informed Approach: We understand that addiction often stems from unresolved trauma. Every member of our clinical team is trained to recognize trauma responses and to create a safe, non-judgmental space where healing can unfold naturally. EMDR, experiential therapy, and individual counseling address root causes rather than symptoms alone.
Neuroscience-Based Care: Our programs are grounded in the latest research on how addiction affects the brain. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, and medication-assisted treatment when appropriate ensure that our methods reflect current scientific understanding of substance use disorders.
