Frequently Asked Questions

How long does treatment usually last?

It really depends on you and what you need. Detox is typically 3 to 7 days, and residential treatment usually runs 30 to 90 days. Outpatient programs can last 2 to 12 weeks. Your clinical team will work with you to find the timeline that gives you the best shot at lasting recovery. There is no one-size-fits-all answer, and that is okay.

Will my insurance cover treatment at IMS Rehab?

Most likely, yes. We work with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicaid, Medicare, Health Net, Cigna, and Magellan. But honestly, the easiest way to find out is to call us at (213) 418-0945. We will verify your coverage for free and walk you through exactly what is and is not included. No surprises.

Is detox medically supervised?

Absolutely. You will have a physician and nursing team monitoring you around the clock. We use medication-assisted treatment when it is appropriate to keep you comfortable and safe. Detox can feel scary, but you will never be alone through it at IMS Rehab.

Can my family visit during residential treatment?

Yes, and we strongly encourage it. Family involvement is a big part of how we approach recovery here. We have scheduled visitation times and also offer family counseling sessions so your loved ones can be part of the process. Recovery is stronger when your support system is involved.

What happens after I complete treatment?

Finishing treatment is a milestone worth celebrating, but it is not the end of the road. We create a personalized aftercare plan for every patient that includes outpatient therapy, local support groups in Los Angeles, alumni events, and relapse prevention strategies. You stay connected to our community long after you leave our facility.

Do you treat co-occurring mental health conditions?

Yes, we do. Our dual diagnosis program addresses addiction alongside conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. We believe treating both at the same time gives you the strongest foundation for recovery. Our clinical team coordinates everything so you do not have to juggle multiple providers.
